How do I uninstall software?
Removing software is best done from your device (not your PC) as follows:

  1. Tap Start.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap System.
  4. Tap Remove Programs.
  5. Select the package to remove.
  6. Tap OK.


How do I force an install to Main Memory or the Storage Card?

Software is automatically installed to wherever you installed the most recent program. Here's how to manually specify installing to main memory or the storage card:

  1. Start the install.
  2. When you see the prompt like the following, click NO.


  3. Next, you'll see a dialog that looks like this:


  4. Change the Save In selection to Main Memory or Storage Card.
  5. Continue with the install.


If the above doesn't work, you may need to do these steps instead:

  1. Go to the storage card and remove the read-only flag from everything in the directory where the software was installed.
  2. Use ActiveSync to remove the program from both the PC and the Pocket PC.
  3. Reinstall.


IMPORTANT: Applian recommends you install all of your programs to Main Memory. Installing to the storage card sometimes makes certain programs behave badly, especially programs that need to be active all of the time, like RemindMe or ThemeDream.

I get a message: "Insert Disk #2". Why?

This indicates your download did not finish, and the file is incomplete. Download and install the software again.


I got a message
"NOT A WINDOWS CE APPLICATION". What am I doing wrong?
Run the file you downloaded from your DESKTOP PC. This starts the installation process to your handheld device.


When trying to install, I get Error 2 Opening Registry.

If you have a Palm OS device, you won't be able to use our software.

Otherwise, you can fix this as follows:

  • Install or reinstall ActiveSync for your device. You can download ActiveSync free from www.pocketpc.com.

I get the message "Can't find ______ (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available."
Chances are you downloaded and installed the wrong version. We have different versions for Pocket PC, Palm-size PC and H/PC devices; start again and choose the proper device from the home page at http://www.applian.com.


My windows shortcut icon labeled; "Applian Pocket PC Software" can't find SIBARMSETUP.EXE

Try downloading the SIB again, and selecting Save To Disk instead of Open. It's likely that the SIBARMSETUP.EXE file was deleted.
