PicturePerfect Users Guide
Viewing Pictures
Once you've added pictures to an album, you're ready to
view them, and share them with your friends.

Navigating your Album:
- Use the left and right arrow buttons on the menu bar
to move backward and forward through your album.
- Use the big direction arrow button on your device to
move backward and forward.
- Select Picture, Go To to quickly jump to a specific
picture.
Viewing Photos Full-Screen
You can utilize the entire screen to view images.
When you do this, the menu bar and top caption bar disappear,
and your photos will appear like this:
You can enable full-screen view three ways:
- Select Album, View Full Screen from the menu.
- Press the Action button on your device. (On the iPAQ,
press the middle of the big arrow button.)
- Tap the
icon on the menu bar.
To restore the menu bar and top caption bar, just tap anywhere
on the screen, or press the Action button again.
Zooming
You can zoom in and out of photos by tapping the
and
icons, or by selecting Picture, Zoom In or Zoom
Out from the menu.
Scrolling Large Pictures
To view the hidden parts of a large picture, just drag
the stylus over the display. This moves the picture.
Changing Full-Screen Caption Display
When viewing pictures full-screen, you can have captions
appear at the top or bottom of the screen, or not appear
at all. Select Album, Preferences to change how full-screen
captions display.
Optimizing Pictures for 12-bit Devices
The HP Jornada and Compaq iPAQ have 12-bit graphics displays,
and may not normally show the best quality images. PicturePerfect
can optimize JPEG images for these devices to make better
looking pictures, but the images themselves may take more
time to load. Select Album, Preferences, Optimize JPEGs
for 12-bit devices to experiment with this setting.
Viewing Pictures Sideways
PicturePerfect version 3.2 and later have a Smart Rotate
feature. Photographs are rotated such that they appear as
large as possible on your screen. You can disable this feature
by selecting Album, Preferences from the menu. (See
Rotating Pictures for details.)
Scaling Large Pictures
Pictures larger than the size of your screen are scaled
by default. To turn scaling on or off, select Picture,
Scale To Fit Display. If this menu item is checked,
then the image is scaled to fit the display. Otherwise,
the picture displays near its actual size.
Playing Sounds
PicturePerfect can automatically play a sound associated
with your picture. If you want to enable or disable this,
select Album, Preferences, and check the Play
Sounds Automatically box. If this item is checked,
sounds will play. If unchecked, no associated sounds play.
If a picture has a sound associated with it, a speaker
icon appears in the menu bar. Tap this icon to play the
picture's sound.
Changing Picture Properties
You can edit the current picture to change the caption,
sound, search words, slide show time, or the picture image
file.
- Go to the picture you want to edit.
- Select Picture, Properties from the menu.
The Picture Properties dialog appears:

- Change any of the picture properties.
- Tap More Properties to change the sound file,
search keywords, or slide show time.
