Adding Pictures to an Album
You can view any image file in BMP, GIF or JPEG format.
In addition, you have the option of playing a sound file
as the picture is displayed. The picture and sound files
should reside under the \My Documents folder on your device,
or under \My Documents on your storage card. (We recommend
you place the files in a subfolder under \My Documents.)
Using a Storage Card: If you want to keep images
on your storage card, we recommend you create a subfolder
under \My Documents on the storage card, i.e. \Storage Card\My
Documents\Photos. However, you can add photos from any folder
on your device.
The viewing area for pictures is 240 x 320 pixels in full-screen
mode, or 240 x 271 pixels when the menu bar is showing.
Any pictures smaller than this are centered, surrounded
by a black border. Any pictures larger than this are scaled
to best fit the display area by default. For best results,
try to make all of your pictures 240 x 320 pixels.
To add one new picture to the current album:
- Select Picture, Insert from the menu.
The picture properties dialog appears:

- Choose the picture file you want to add.
You can narrow the number of pictures displayed
by selecting a folder.

The Slide Show Time dictates how long a picture is
to appear in a slide show. The value you enter is in milliseconds,
or 1000ths of a second. For example, enter 5000 to display
a picture for five seconds. This setting has no effect
if you are just browsing pictures.
- Tap OK when done.
The new picture is inserted after the current
picture.
You can also insert the entire contents of a folder, including
all the BMP, GIF and JPEG files in that folder.
To insert every picture in a folder:
- Navigate to the picture where you want to insert the
new pictures.
This picture will be BEFORE the new pictures.
- Select Album, Add All Pictures from Folder.
The Select Directory dialog appears.

expand and collapse the tree by tapping on the plus or
minus to the left of the folder icons.

the selected folder, check Include Subfolders.
- Tap OK.
The pictures are inserted into your album.
Note: You can reorder your pictures by selecting
Album, Reorder Pictures from the menu. The initial
order of images is by the creation date of the image file.
